Biography
Ann Covey received her Master’s degree in School Nursing from Elms College, her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Pensacola Christian College, and her School Nurse Certification from University of Delaware. Ann is currently working as the Education Associate for School Health Services at the Delaware Department of Education (DOE). A strong advocate for student health and wellness, Ann involves school nurses in initiatives that promote health education, compliance monitoring, and continuous professional development. Her professional interests focus on school health equity, policy, data-driven health practices, and enhancing the role of school nurses in supporting student well-being.
Ann’s current projects include overseeing the Delaware School Nurse Certification Program, facilitating continuing education for school nurses, and leading a Community of Practice for Delaware school nurses and specialized sub-groups. In addition, she serves as the Community of Practice facilitator for the National Association of State School Nurse Consultants (NASSNC) and is an active member of the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) and the Delaware School Nurse Association (DSNA).
